Mac Miller’s fan base has been growing rapidly and i’m sure it won’t be long till we reach the point where Mac’s songs will be joining our UK charts especially if he keeps up making hits like “Knock Knock” & “Nikes On My Feet”.
For the first time in his career, the Pittsburgh rapper flew over to London to perform his first ever UK, London show with his close friend/hypeman Q who supported Mac throughout his performance.
As we drove towards the venue it was serious uncanny how much Mac Miller has influenced the fans over here as nearly every body were dressed as Mac Miller with their Snapback caps, chino trousers/cargo shorts and a retro tee or a cartooned top. There was no question that nearly every teen marching through Sheperds Bush (North West London) were attending the Mac Miller show.
We didn’t actually know that Mikil Pane was opening for Mac, it was a pleasant surprise. Mikil is probably most known for his greatly written track with Ed Sheeran titled “Little Lady” which he did in fact perform.
It was a shame that the crowd didn’t really want to pay any attention to the great performance Mikil gave them, but he was a bulldozer he didn’t let the hecklers get to him and outstandingly told them to “F*ck themselves” – OG business!
On a whole the show was great! The crowd were hyped to the point they thought anybody who walked on stage was Mac, resulting in repeated moans of disappointment, it was funny to watch from stage side. The performance itself matched the crowds energy as Mac ran around every square inch of the stage involving them with his choruses and jumps. He even took a minute to do a accapella tribute to his passed away Grandfather.
