The Blu Mile is a new and original concept born from the minds of two innovative Londoners (Blu Evans and Miles Fleming), who share a relentless passion for music, culture and fashion. The brand ‘TheBluMile’ was dreamt up in a South-East based college, Christ the King Sixth Form, where they considered ways of creating a website on designing trainers, that would catch the minds of young people everywhere. If you’re gonna dream, you might as well dream big, so the creators set their sights on bigger and better things…
Eventually the boys opened a blog called ‘theBluMileJourney’ via Blogger, posting images of their favorite footwear and expressing their views on the lastest in the world of fashion and music. Although often united in their musical tastes, their style choices showed an eclectic preference, which continues to have random results. Despite their contrasting attitude to clothing, they decided to start designs on hats, Trainers and T-Shirts. It’s no wonder that they even dreamt of one day opening their very own store in London town!!
After achieving over 3000 hits on Blogger, they decided to up sticks and move ‘TheBluMile’ to their current host, ‘wordpress’. A mere three weeks into opening, the new site massed over 1,500 hits and an average of 100 a day! The boys both regularly post on fashion, (from the runway to the street) music (from The Killers to Kanye) and anything else that takes their fancy. TheBluMiles is the only website to turn to when you need your fix of the freshest sh*t around! And with two perspectives given 24/7, you’re sure to find something that ignites your imagination every single click!
On the 20th of February 2011 the boys decided once again to expand and move hosts, continuing on wordpress but moving onto their own domain theblumile.com and launched a brand new site with a store integrated and many more exciting features. The site continues to grow daily and with now over 7000+ views a month the site is beginning to carve a way into the mainstream. With much more diverse music choices and images from events the site is growing daily. The sites first T-shirt line will open before March and should propel the boys into more than just bloggers.
