When Passion for Trainers and Weird Music Advertising connect… Adidas Kicks by Beatnik

So I was invited into this facebook event last week regarding a release of some video by a group/guy called BeatNik entitled Adidas Kicks, obviously Facebook being Facebook I just clicked the X button and never thought of the event again. But this morning I woke up with someone else I know clicking attend, assumingly watching the video.

The video is basically a full blown advertisement for Adidas (with Asher D and Harvey already known for being involved with the brand) but sold to us as a real track which I think is what it’s meant to be. But why? A very confusing concept for a song, similar to Run DMC’s ‘My Adidas’ but without the cool’ness if you know what I mean. Like Asher D or Jam Master Jay, its no competition.

What this track to me is; David Guetta mixed with annoying brand advertising. THATS THAT SHIT I DONT LIKE!

What do you think of the track, and what do you think of the connection between obvious branding and the conflict it has with real music? Do you mind seeing a bunch of over sold products or are you cool with it?
