Mumford and Sons are probably one of the most well known English Folk bands that reach a wide audience. Not only is their music practically plastered all over commercials, or in the background of TV Shows like ‘Scrubs, ‘and numerous Films. ‘I Will Wait,’ is just another one of their strikingly catchy songs with a strangled cry of emotion. These men continuously stuck to their quirky music, which eventually in 2010 became more apparent to larger viewers. Their international success has been on going for years, and it wasn’t until recent years that a lot of people started picking up on their distinct sound, and giving them well deserved awards for their hard work.
Their new album ‘Babel,’ is coming out on the 24th September and will also be available on vinyl, which is a long lost luxury in this day and age. They have been around since 2007, but it wasn’t until 2010 that their music started hitting the top of the charts, which gained them more fans in the UK and across the border.
Their music video for ‘I Will Wait,’ is of them performing on stage at Red Rocks, which is an outside rock structure in Colorado where concerts are played in the open air. Big artists and bands such as Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles have performed there, so for Mumford and Son to have the opportunity to perform at the massive outdoor venue, completely packed out with fans is a big part of history.
