Major Lazer was a DJ project that was initially put together by DJ Diplo and Switch, but they parted ways in late 2011. So Major Lazer now consists of Diplo, Walshy Fire and Jillionare, who continue you release a wonderful reggae, moombah dance fusion. They have worked with Snoop Lion, and contributed highly to the dance scene since they first broke out in 2009. Amber is apart of a band called the ‘Dirty Projectors,’ who are an experimental indie rock band from Brooklyn New York. They have been around since 2002, targeting a very specific audience outside of mainstream music. It’s exciting when artists from two completely different spectrums combine their talents, and create a new feel good sound that can appeal to a wider demographic.
