|New Artist| Linkoban Female Rapper From Denmark

Linkoban is a beautiful contradiction to everything you would expect her to be. The Danish rapper, originally from China has a hard to pin accent, and outlandish style of dress that separates her from every other artist. She has a sound that will easily capture the heart of the UK crowd; especially the underground East London regulars who love to rave till the early ours of the morning.

After seeing her perform at ‘COLORS,’ a Wednesday night event that only happens during the summer at a club called Nefertti in Gothenburg, I was blown away by her stage presence. Linkoban took control of the crowd, keeping everyone energized and continuously dancing throughout her entire set. There wasn’t a moment of rest that was spared, for anyone that held their ground in that packed up sweatbox. It was as if everyone was saving all their pent up energy, for this one performer, and believe me when I say no one left unsatisfied.

The theme for Wednesday’s ‘COLORS,’ was orange, so imagine seeing a venue the size of the big room in 93 Feet East, packed with people dressed in different shades of orange profusely sweating, without making any attempts to stop dancing because the music is good. Linkoban had everyone including myself wrapped around her finger, as she took us on a journey through new wave reggae, bashment, afro and jungle beats. For someone who says “I’m in love with the Internet, super super internet,” she is hard to research, like a ghost. In the meantime explore the lyrics and vocals by Linkoban, while raving to the music by Yo Akim. It’s about time Denmark started getting more recognition for their music; all they needed was a Super Billion Records artist.
