Firstly my heart goes out to Jhene Aiko who recently lost her older brother Miyagi Ayo Chilombo, 26, to cancer. To help her cope with the pain, she penned this amazing tribute song simply entitled ‘For My Brother’.
The sultry voiced singer’s vocals and lyrics here are both touching and heart-wrenching. The song was written and recorded by herself on her laptop with the intention of only playing it for him. Before he passed, she made sure he heard it.
“Now I hear him telling ME, what I was singing to him… to not give up,” she wrote on her Tumblr page.
