|New Music| Mac Miller feat. Benny Banks – Loud

It’s been a while since i have actually posted on here which is actually terrible seeing as it is my website afterall; I’ve just been taking a break from the world and it’s going about. Until this was dropped in my email inbox.

I was told that the two had collaborated a couple days back by a friend and to say the least, I was excited! It would be Mac’s first collaboration with a UK artist and I was excited to see what the two would produced and if Mac was capable of adapting his style to compliment a UK sound and vice versa… Then I clicked play.

First thing’s first, I would not say this is a collaboration. It’s just Benny Banks adding a verse to Mac Miller’s “Loud” which is off his Macadelic mixtape. Second thing, this is not even a remix. Third thing, Mac Miller didn’t even have to be around for this to occur. So the whole build up of the two being on tour together and the possibilities of the two actually producing material together ended with a anti-climatic PSSH.

This could be done by anybody. Anyone can grab a track and add their own verse to it amongst the original verses, so the for that sole fact. I refused to listen to it to the end. BUT from what I heard from Benny, he was actually alright on the track and I give him props. Kudos Ben, kudos.
