It looks as though it could be Roc Families year at the 2012 BET awards with Kanye, Jay & Beyonce the top nominated artists in this year nominations. Kanye West leads the nominations with seven, including two Video of the Year nods for the Throne’s “N—as in Paris” and “Otis.” Beyoncé notched six nominations, while hubby Jay-Z earned himself five noms. Beyonce has got 6 aswell at newcomers J.Cole and Big Sean who have 3 respectively, good news for the rising stars. Check out the full list of nominees over at BET.
Another big piece of news is that the legend that is Samuel L. Jackson will be hosting the event, bringing that Pulp Fiction, Dope man swag to event. Looks like this could be a decent BET Award show for once. #shotsfired.
