Introducing The Project
The ultimate venue.
One night only. Yours for the taking. Virgin Media and Virgin Unite are providing an amazing opportunity to catapult young people towards a fantastic future! Virgin Media Pioneers introduces The Project – an initiative that will provide training, an enterprise qualification and work placements for 100 young people over three weeks during summer 2012.
They are seeking applicants aged 18-29 from all sorts of backgrounds across the UK and want to appeal to young people who have an interest in gaining employment, or building a business, in the creative and/or events sectors. Experience is not necessary but passion and enthusiasm are! 10 of the most promising young people will then be commissioned to produce an ambitious festival, gaining a life-changing opportunity to gain paid work within the industry over 3 months, receive hands-on live events experience at some of the UK’s most exciting events and the expert mentoring of professionals. Virgin Media staff will also support and advise the young people involved. The project culminates with a live event produced by young people, aiming to showcase and celebrate British talent at the Royal Opera House on 7th September 2012.
Candidates should visit the website www.virginmediapioneers.com/TheProject from 8th May to 22nd May 2012 to register their interest.
If you are aged 18-29, register at the website to take part in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Or if you know or work with young people in the age range, please forward this information onto them so they don’t miss out!
