Ahh I’ve been excited about this since I heard Terrorist Threats a while ago! Today is the day that TDE and Black Hippy wordsmith Ab-Soul comes out with his new project titled Control System. Since Long Term 2 came out he’s been working hard in the studio on this project that his label mate Kendrick Lamar calls ‘the missing piece of the puzzle in Black Hippy’. With production and features from Digi+Phonics, Black Hippy, Nez & Rio, Jhene Aiko, the late Alori Joh, Danny Brown and more, you can get this on iTunes for $8.99 (£5.60).

I’ve got a copy and I can honestly say that this is a solid release, cohesive in sound and themes alike. There’s a few lines and sounds that will ring bells to Hip Hop heads and music lovers alike, when I clocked on I was so pleased and you guys will too. If you want to venture away from the stereotypical money, cars and heauxs rap then I recommend you get your hands on this. iTunes link and track listing below! RIP Alori Joh who passed a while before this released, she was a talent who unfortunately wasn’t discovered by the masses before she passed.
