I’m always wary when reading e-mails from PR companies regarding new music, I always take a listen and can often be left disappointed. I clicked play on the brand new track ‘Hurricane’ hoping this wouldn’t be the case, luckily the sultry voice and airy under beats flowing over some tight lyrics hit me right away and I must say, I was impressed.
MsMr are a talented New York native duo who have started their music careers with some hefty accolades already, premiering the track last week world famous DJ Zane Lowe gave them a prime time slot and #1 UK Album Chart toppers Marina & The Diamonds have offered them the guest slot on their US tour. Pretty good stuff for an early start up group I must say. With influences from Janelle Monae, New Order to Hot Chip I can see them building a good following with this epicly electronice production that flatters the lyrics perfectly.
