|Video| Young Guru Talks about “Niggas In Paris” vs “Niggas In Poorest” debate

One of the most infamous producers, Young Guru, who is known mainly for his production/engineer work he has done for Jay-Z (to name a few), takes a moment after celebrating his birthday to break down his perspective on the “Niggas In Paris” vs “Niggas In Poorest” debate. Many people have mistakenly dubbed Yasiin Bey’s (Mos Def) rendition of The Throne’s hit single as a diss track and that Yasiin was sending shots at ‘Ye & Jay.
Just like Guru, I disagree completely too! Mos has always been the artist to draw attention to how society REALLY is and his ability to drag you back down to reality and put things into perspective has always been Mos’s top unique selling point in Hip Hop.

If this is your first time seeing Young Guru speak about Hip Hop, I seriously suggest you take some time and sit down to watch a couple more videos. ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE A ARTIST DOING MUSIC, he will open your eyes and actually enlighten you with his knowledge. Check out the video below where he speaks about the Music Industry as a whole and why you DO NOT need a label.
