|News| Wikipedia goes dark for 24 hours as a protest to SOPA & PIPA

The campaign continues to prevent the US Government from making the privacy rules stricter and ultimately changing how everybody in this day and age uses the internet.

The online encyclopedia, Wikipedia, is one of the Internet’s most visited sites, and at midnight Eastern Standard Time it began a 24-hour “blackout” in protest against proposed anti-piracy legislation. This will cause many leading websites for example; Reddit, Google, Facebook, Amazon, Tumblr and others challenging if not impossible for them to operate.

Yesterday we posted the video from rapper Okwerdz who addressed the issue through lyrics to raise awareness and edge people to sign the petition to go against the cause. We here at TheBluMile feel that you should do the same! If you remain naive, this will come back and haunt you when you next sign into Twitter and especially Tumblr!
